Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
A Lifesaving Society Program
This course builds on the skills learned in first aid and CPR courses. It provides knowledge of how the heart works and what goes wrong when defibrillation is required. Candidates will learn when and how to operate an automated external defibrillator, AED maintenance, data management and reporting protocols required following an incident.
