Principles of Healthy Child Development

Parks and Recreation Ontario (PRO) launched HIGH FIVE in 2001.  Research showed that the following five principles of healthy child development are essential for superior organized play experiences for children ages 6 to 12: A Caring Adult, Friends, Play, Mastery and Participation.  HIGH FIVE training teaches these instructors how to integrate these five principles into their swim program design and delivery.
